This book presents the epidemiology, etiology, molecular biology, virology, and the latest research advances for COVID-19. It also presents the clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment of this new infectious disease. The content of this book is based on the literature review of several relevant articles published in China and abroad, as well as the experience of medical workers in this field in China. It has brought together experts in the Huashan Hospital Infectious Diseases Department who have long been at the forefront of clinical, basic infection and hospital infection control. About the Author
Wenhong Zhang is currently the director, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Infectious Diseases Department of Huashan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University. He graduated from the Department of Medicine at Shanghai Medical University and worked as a visiting and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Hong Kong, Harvard University School of Medicine in the United States and the Department of Microbiology at Chicago State University. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, he has successfully treated more than 300 critically ill patients with COVID-19 in one month.
